By creating an account or using CodeQuester, you agree to these terms. Our platform is for lawful cybersecurity education in simulated environments only.
Educational use only
CodeQuester teaches cybersecurity in simulated, sandboxed environments. You may only use what you learn on systems you own or have written permission to test. Unauthorized access to real networks, accounts, or devices is illegal.
No exploiting or abuse
You must not exploit bugs, glitches, or loopholes on CodeQuester or its community. This includes — but is not limited to — duplicating coins or XP, bypassing paywalls or trials, abusing API endpoints, automating gameplay (bots/macros), manipulating arena matchmaking, sharing accounts to grind rewards, or using tools to scrape or attack the platform. Report vulnerabilities responsibly via support or Discord #support; do not publicize or weaponize them.
Fair play
Do not cheat on quizzes or duels: no answer keys, bots, collusion to throw matches, or sharing full solutions in public channels. Hints are fine; complete spoilers are not. Staff may reset progress, revoke rewards, or ban accounts for cheating.
Respectful conduct
No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or targeted abuse toward users or staff — on the site, in Discord, or anywhere you represent CodeQuester.
No illegal or harmful requests
Do not ask for help hacking neighbors' Wi‑Fi, accounts you don't own, schools, employers, or any system without authorization. Our AI tutor and community will refuse these requests; repeated attempts may result in a ban.
Accounts & payments
One person per account unless staff approves otherwise. Chargeback abuse or payment fraud results in permanent ban. Trial and subscription terms are shown at checkout; cosmetic purchases are final unless required by law.
Cosmetics & parody items
Shop weapons and outfits are cosmetic only — no real-world combat mechanics. Brand names in the shop are parodies for fun; we do not use real trademarks in assets.
Enforcement
We may warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that break these rules, with or without refund. Serious abuse or illegal activity may be reported to authorities.
Community & Discord
Discord rules mirror these terms. Join our community for support and announcements:
- Be respectful — no harassment, hate speech, or threats.
- Educational only — no help with illegal hacking or unauthorized access.
- No exploiting — don't share bugs, cheats, coin glitches, or bypass methods.
- Fair play — hints in #level-help only; no full quiz spoilers or answer dumps.
- No spam, scams, phishing, or self-promo without staff approval.
- Keep support info private — never post passwords or payment details in public channels.
- Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
